In last Friday of August Festival of salt gathered on the shore of Lake Atanasovsko people from Burgas and the country came specifically for the unusual salty celebration. For the third consecutive year, various activities for children, art events and challenges of body and spirit attracted a diverse audience near the lagoon.

The theme this year was "Symbiosis" - a natural phenomenon in which two or more organisms derive mutual benefit from their joint partnership. This is Atanasovsko Lake too - invisible net of complex relationships, a mysterious organism that lives, breathes and pulsates near the heart of Bourgas.

A 11 year old boy from Burgas chose to celebrate his birthday around Atanasovsko Lake - the arbor in front of the Hide for birdwatching. Children learned details for the lake, birds, salt production and migration. They were prepared with the optical tube, and our representative provide them with binoculars and bird identification book. Many gifts were provided to the celebrating kids.

From 3 to 6 of September, 2015 in Bourgas will happen photo-fest on theme Wildlife photography, landscape photography and aerial photography of Atanasovsko lake and Protected area "Poda". Photo-fest is organized within the project "Salt of Life", LIFE+.

The organizers are Association Photo Club "Eighth Art", "Style Travel" Travel Agency and Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds.
 

For the third year in a saturated festivaly August of Burgas a special event is included - "Festival of salt." As usual on the last Friday of August in the southern part of the lake Atanasovsko are invited fans of salty entertainment - bathing in lye and spreads mud, participation in various artistic challenges, dance improvisation, music and lots of fun.

From 21 to 30 August many environmentalists from across the country will gather at the shore of the most salty lake in Bulgaria to teach and help the birds.

This year BSPB again invites everyone who has a wish to become part of the magic of environmental brigade "Atanasovsko Lake 2015", organized within the project "Salt of Life" carried out by BBF, BSPB and "Black Sea Salinas" Ltd. with the financial support of the LIFE + Programme EC.

Especially before the arrival of British music star for the Spirit of Burgas, team of the "Salt of Life" project, thanks to the assistance of Bourgas Airport shows the original installation SALIGHT, which explores the interaction of salt with light and its qualities as a material for product design.

In sector Arrivals all tourists and visitors to the area will be able to see the poetic evocation of crystallization of sea salt in a pinkish reserve pools Atanasovsko Lake storing concentrated marine waters prepared by Think Forward team.

On July 10, 2015 at 10:30 will be held the fifth meeting of the Project Steering Council of the project Salt of life. The Council involves three partners in the project presented by the Director of LIFE projects of the BSPB - Svetoslav Spasov, coordinator of conservation activities in the BBF - Stefan Avramov and Procurator of Black Sea Salinas Ltd. - Gergana Bozhilova and state expert from NNPS MoEW - Borislav Bechev.
